Illinois High School Volleyball - Gillespie over Mt. Olive

Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Gillespie Miners (Gillespie, IL) and the host Mt. Olive Wildcats (Mt. Olive, IL), observed Gillespie's volleyball team top Mt. Olive by a count of 2-0.

The Miners (6-16) will now prepare for their contest against Hillsboro (Hillsboro, IL). The Hiltoppers enter the South Central contest with a 16-10 record. In their last contest, Hillsboro was knocked off by Lincolnwood (Raymond, IL), 2-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Wildcats battle the Staunton Bulldogs (Staunton, IL) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, October 12. Mt. Olive will attempt to move on its 6-17 season record. The Bulldogs enter the contest with a 17-4 record after their 2-1 league win over Southwestern (Piasa, IL).
