Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the King William Cavaliers (King William, VA) and the host Mathews Blue Devils (Mathews, VA), observed King William's volleyball team top Mathews by a count of 3-0.

The Cavaliers (10-5) will now prepare for their contest against King & Queen Central (King & Queen Court House, VA). The Royal Tigers enter the Tidewater contest with a 7-10 record. In their last contest, King & Queen Central was knocked off by Middlesex (Saluda, VA), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Blue Devils battle the West Point Pointers (West Point, VA) in a Tidewater contest, on Thursday, October 10. Mathews will attempt to move on its 5-9 season record. The Pointers enter the contest with a 9-9 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Westmoreland (Montross, VA).
