In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the host Marshall Lions volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Red Hill Salukis.

The Lions (9-15) will now prepare for their challenge against Newton (Newton, IL). The Eagles come into the Little Illini challenge with a 20-5 record. In their last challenge, Newton beat Mt. Carmel (Mt. Carmel, IL), 2-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Salukis meet the Casey-Westfield Warriors (Casey, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, October 10. Red Hill will attempt to upgrade on its 2-16 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 13-10 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City (Cowden, IL).
