Plainfield South Cougars (Plainfield, IL) fans went home in high spirits Wednesday as they observed their soccer squad knock off the visiting Romeoville Spartans (Romeoville, IL), 3-1 in a non-league outing.

The Cougars (1-5) will now prepare for their outing against Batavia (Batavia, IL). The Bulldogs go into the non-league outing with a 1-2 record. In their last outing, Batavia got by Geneva (Geneva, IL), 3-1, in a non-league outing.

Next up, the Spartans play the Glenbard West Hilltoppers (Glen Ellyn, IL) in a non-league test, on Friday, October 10. Romeoville will attempt to advance on its 2-12 season record.
