Maine South Hawks (Park Ridge, IL) backers were pleased Wednesday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Rolling Meadows Mustangs (Rolling Meadows, IL), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Hawks (17-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Glenbrook North (Northbrook, IL). The Spartans go into the Central Suburban game with a 21-2 record. In their last game, Glenbrook North went down by Glenbrook South (Glenview, IL), 2-0, in a league game.
The Mustangs (15-16) will now prepare for their game against Hoffman Estates (Hoffman Estates, IL). The Hawks go into the game with a 9-18 record. In their last outing, Hoffman Estates lost by Fremd (Palatine, IL), 2-0, in a league outing.
