Louisiana High School Volleyball - Riverdale bounced by Mt. Carmel

October 8, 2025: Jefferson, LA 70121

Mt. Carmel Cubs (New Orleans, LA) boosters left the game thrilled Wednesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Riverdale Rebels (Jefferson, LA), 3-0 in a league test.

With the win, Mt. Carmel improves its record to 26-2 on the season. The Cubs host East Jefferson (Metairie, LA) to meet the Warriors in a Division I District 8 challenge on Tuesday, October 14. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 9-20. East Jefferson lost 3-0 in their recent league challenge against Chalmette (Chalmette, LA)

Next, the Rebels meet the West Jefferson Buccaneers (Harvey, LA) in a Division I District 8 test, on Thursday, October 16. Riverdale will attempt to improve on its 1-14 season record.
