In Monday's non-league battle, the host Geneva Eagles soccer squad scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Independence Blue Devils.
The Eagles (7-7) will now prepare for their battle against Marlington (Alliance, OH). The Dukes come into the non-league bout with a 4-10 record. In their last bout, Marlington was nipped by Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy (Cuyahoga Falls, OH), 6-1, in a non-league bout.
In their next game, the Blue Devils battle the Andrews Osborne Academy Phoenix (Willoughby, OH) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, October 12. Independence will attempt to move on its 5-8 season record. The Phoenix enter the bout with a 1-6 record after their 8-4 non-league loss to Berkshire (Burton, OH).
