In Monday's non-league battle, the visiting Metairie Park Country Day Cajuns volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Academy of Our Lady Penguins.

The Cajuns (16-8) will now prepare for their battle against Fontainebleau (Mandeville, LA). The Bulldogs come into the non-league battle with a 15-11 record. In their last battle, Fontainebleau achieved victory over Chalmette (Chalmette, LA), 2-0, in a non-league match.

With the loss, Academy of Our Lady drops to 18-7 on the campaign. The Penguins travel to Edna Karr (New Orleans, LA) to clash with the Cougars in a Division II District 7 match on Tuesday, October 10. The Cougars come into the match with a record of 12-5. Edna Karr won 3-0 in their recent league match against L.W. Higgins (Marrero, LA)
