Illinois High School Volleyball - ROWVA/Williamsfield tips Mercer County

October 9, 2023: Oneida, IL 61467

ROWVA/Williamsfield Cougars (Oneida, IL) supporters left the game in high spirits Monday as they observed their volleyball squad hold off the visiting Mercer County Golden Eagles (Aledo, IL), 2-1 in a league match.

Next up, the Cougars battle the Biggsville West Central Heat (Biggsville, IL) in a non-league match, on Saturday, October 14. ROWVA/Williamsfield will attempt to advance on its 17-9 season record. The Heat come into the match with a 16-13 record after their 2-0 league win over Galva (Galva, IL).

With the loss, Mercer County drops to 14-11 on the campaign. The Golden eagles host Stark County (Toulon, IL) to battle the Rebels in a Lincoln Trail match on Wednesday, October 11. The Rebels come into the match with a record of 1-22. Stark County lost 2-0 in their recent non-league match against Alleman (Rock Island, IL)
