Pennsylvania High School Volleyball - Union Area over Wilmington

October 9, 2023: New Wilmington, PA 16142

The Union Area Scotties (New Castle, PA) volleyball overcame the host Wilmington Greyhounds (New Wilmington, PA), 3-0 in Monday's non-league outing.

With the win, Union Area upgrades its record to 1-2 on the year. The Scotties host Burgettstown (Burgettstown, PA) to face the Blue Devils in a WPIAL 1A 1 outing on Thursday, October 19. The Blue Devils go into the outing with a record of 8-4.

The Greyhounds now own a 4-10 record. They play next when they travel to Reynolds for a District 10 Region 3 outing on Tuesday, October 10. Wilmington will face a Raiders squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Jamestown (Jamestown, PA). The Raiders record now stands at 7-7.
