The McDonough Warhawks flag football squad scored 27 points and limited the visiting South Effingham Mustangs to 12 in the Warhawks non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Warhawks now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Eagle's Landing for a D2 Area 4 test on Monday, October 14. McDonough will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 35-0 league loss to Locust Grove (Locust Grove, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 0-2.
With the defeat, South Effingham drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Southeast Bulloch (Brooklet, GA) to meet the Yellow Jackets in a non-league test on Wednesday, October 9. The Yellow Jackets come into the test with a record of 0-0.
