Deer Lakes Lancers (Russellton, PA) backers exited the stadium pleased Wednesday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the visiting Southmoreland Scotties (Alverton, PA), 1-0 in a league test.

With the triumph, Deer Lakes advances its record to 7-3 on the campaign. The Lancers host North Hills (Pittsburgh, PA) to clash with the Indians in a non-league test on Thursday, October 10. The Indians come into the test with a record of 3-13. North Hills lost 5-0 in their recent non-league test against Pine-Richland (Gibsonia, PA)

The Scotties now have a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Belle Vernon for a non-league test on Monday, October 14.
