Seckman Jaguars (Imperial, MO) supporters left the game thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Webster Groves Statesmen (Webster Groves, MO), 8-1 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Seckman improves its record to 16-12 on the year. The Jaguars travel to Jackson (Jackson, MO) to play the Fighting Indians in a Class 4 District 1 game on Thursday, October 10. The Fighting Indians enter the game with a record of 26-8. Jackson won 23-12 in their recent non-league game against North County (Bonne Terre, MO)

The Statesmen now hold a 10-17 record.
