In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the visiting Wheaton Knights volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Paint Branch Panthers.
The Knights (3-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Magruder (Rockville, MD). The Colonels come into the Montgomery County 2A/3A battle with a 6-3 record. In their last battle, Magruder dropped by Wootton (Rockville, MD), 3-0, in a league battle.
The Panthers now own a 3-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Einstein for a non-league battle on Friday, October 11. Paint Branch will encounter a Titans squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Springbrook (Silver Spring, MD). The Titans record now stands at 1-8.
