In Thursday's league match, the host Altamont Longhorns football squad scored a close 54-52 triumph over the Whitehorse Raiders.
The Longhorns (7-2) will now prepare for their match against Panguitch (Panguitch, UT). The Bobcats come into the 8-Man (8 Man) match with a 1-7 record. In their last match, Panguitch was nudged by Water Canyon (Hildale, UT), 34-22, in a league battle.
The Raiders now own a 4-2 record. They play next when they host Monument Valley for a 8-Man (8 Man) battle on Friday, October 17. Whitehorse will play a Cougars team coming off a 51-49 non-league loss to Non Varsity Opponent (, ). The Cougars record now stands at 0-6.
