The Thornton Trojans football team (Thornton, CO), was crushed 55-6 in Thursday's league bout with the host Grand Junction Tigers (Grand Junction, CO)

With the win, Grand Junction advances its record to 5-2 on the season. The Tigers travel to Centaurus (Lafayette, CO) to encounter the Warriors in a 4A I-25 bout on Friday, October 17. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 5-2. Centaurus won 51-0 in their recent league bout against Gateway (Aurora, CO)

The Trojans now own a 0-7 record. They play next when they host Cheyenne Mountain for a 4A I-25 match on Thursday, October 16. Thornton will confront a Red-Tailed Hawks squad coming off a 52-45 league loss to Sand Creek (Colorado Springs, CO). The Red-Tailed Hawks record now stands at 6-1.
