In Thursday's non-league game, the Kea'au Cougars (Kea'au, HI) football team edged the visiting Pahoa Daggers (Pahoa, HI), by a tally of 2-0.
In their next game, the Cougars battle the Konawaena Wildcats (Kealakekua, HI) in a Big Island I bout, on Saturday, October 18. Kea'au will attempt to advance on its 4-4 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 6-2 record after their 66-0 league win over Kealakehe (Kailua-Kona, HI).
The Daggers now own a 0-6 record. They play next when they host Kohala for a Big Island II bout on Friday, October 17. Pahoa will battle a Cowboys squad coming off a 48-0 league loss to Honoka'a (Honoka'a, HI). The Cowboys record now stands at 4-4.
