Lower Richland Diamond Hornets (Hopkins, SC) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Wilson Tigers (Florence, SC), 28-13 in a league battle.

With the win, Lower Richland improves its record to 5-3 on the season. The Diamond Hornets travel to Lakewood (Sumter, SC) to play the Gators in a AAAA Region 5 battle on Friday, October 17. The Gators go into the battle with a record of 0-7. Lakewood lost 49-0 in their recent league battle against South Florence (Florence, SC)

The Tigers now have a 5-3 record. They play next when they host South Florence for a AAAA Region 5 battle on Friday, October 17. Wilson will play a Bruins team coming off a 49-0 league win over Lakewood (Sumter, SC). The Bruins record now stands at 6-1.
