Mississippi High School Football - Strayhorn trounced by Myrtle

The Strayhorn Mustangs football squad (Sarah, MS), was trounced 48-0 in Thursday's league contest with the host Myrtle Hawks (Myrtle, MS)

The Hawks (6-1) will now prepare for their contest against Water Valley (Water Valley, MS). The Blue Devils enter the 2A Region 2 contest with a 5-2 record. In their last contest, Water Valley was trounced by Baldwyn (Baldwyn, MS), 43-12, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Mustangs battle the East Union Urchins (Blue Springs, MS) in a 2A Region 2 contest, on Friday, October 17. Strayhorn will attempt to advance on its 2-5 season record. The Urchins go into the bout with a 1-6 record after their 40-34 league win over Bruce (Bruce, MS).
