In Friday's league match, the visiting Sierra Blanca Vaqueros football squad scored a close 52-45 triumph over the Sanderson Eagles.
The Vaqueros (1-5) will now prepare for their match against Balmorhea (Balmorhea, TX). The Bears come into the 1A 6 Man 2 Region II District 5 (6 Man) match with a 6-0 record. In their last match, Balmorhea tipped Fort Davis (Fort Davis, TX), 58-6, in a league match.
Coming up next, the Eagles confront the El Paso Classical Academy (El Paso, TX) in a non-league match, on Friday, October 17. Sanderson will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record.
