In Thursday's non-league outing, the visiting Montclair Kimberley Academy Cougars soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 victory over the Bloomfield Bengals.

The Cougars (7-3) will now prepare for their outing against Verona (Verona, NJ). The Hillbillies go into the non-league test with a 9-2 record. In their last test, Verona edged Hanover Park (East Hanover, NJ), 1-0, in a non-league test.

The Bengals now sport a 7-5 record. They take the field next when they host Glen Ridge for a non-league test on Monday, October 13. Bloomfield will clash with a Ridgers team coming off a 1-0 non-league win over West Orange (West Orange, NJ). The Ridgers record now stands at 5-4.
