Newtown Nighthawks (Newtown, CT) boosters exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Bunnell Bulldogs (Stratford, CT), 7-0 in a league test.

With the triumph, Newtown moves its record to 10-1 on the campaign. The Nighthawks host Woodland Regional (Beacon Falls, CT) to clash with the Hawks in a non-league test on Saturday, October 11. The Hawks come into the test with a record of 8-0. Woodland Regional won 5-0 in their recent league test against Torrington (Torrington, CT)

The Bulldogs now sport a 1-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pomperaug for a Southwest - Colonial test on Tuesday, October 14. Bunnell will play a Panthers squad coming off a 0-0 non-league Brookfield (Brookfield, CT). The Panthers record now stands at 8-0.
