In their next game, the Red Tornadoes play the East Lincoln Mustangs (Denver, NC) in a non-league test, on Thursday, October 16. Hickory will attempt to upgrade on its 6-1 season record. The Mustangs come into the test with a 3-5 record after their 14-6 non-league win over Foard (Newton, NC).

With the defeat, West Iredell drops to 2-4 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Newton-Conover (Newton, NC) to meet the Red Devils in a non-league test on Thursday, October 16. The Red Devils go into the challenge with a record of 6-1. Newton-Conover won 38-12 in their recent non-league challenge against Bunker Hill (Claremont, NC)
