The Topsail Pirates football team (Hampstead, NC), was routed 42-6 in Thursday's non-league match with the host Hoggard Vikings (Wilmington, NC)

The Vikings (5-2) will now prepare for their match against Laney (Wilmington, NC). The Buccaneers enter the match with a 4-3 record. In their last match, Laney routed Topsail (Hampstead, NC), 28-7, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Pirates confront the West Brunswick Trojans (Shallotte, NC) in a non-league match, on Thursday, October 16. Topsail will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Trojans enter the match with a 3-4 record after their 27-6 non-league loss to New Hanover (Wilmington, NC).
