Illinois High School Soccer - Highland Park knocks off Deerfield

In Thursday's non-league outing, the visiting Highland Park Giants soccer squad scored a tight 5-1 victory over the Deerfield Warriors.
The Giants (5-8) will now prepare for their outing against Northridge (Niles, IL). The Knights go into the non-league outing with a 6-2 record. In their last outing, Northridge got by Chicago Christian (Palos Heights, IL), 3-1, in a league outing.
Next up, the Warriors confront the Latin Romans (Chicago, IL) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, October 14. Deerfield will attempt to advance on its 6-7 season record. The Romans come into the test with a 2-7 record after their 4-2 non-league loss to North Shore Country Day (Winnetka, IL).
