Virginia High School Soccer - The Covenant School knocks off New Covenant

October 9, 2025: Charlottesville, VA 22902

In Thursday's league outing, the host The Covenant School Eagles soccer squad scored a tight 6-3 victory over the New Covenant Gryphons .

The Eagles (12-4) will now prepare for their test against North Cross (Roanoke, VA). The Raiders come into the Blue Ridge Athletic test with a 9-5 record. In their last test, North Cross by Veritas School (Richmond, VA), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Gryphons now have a 12-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Tandem Friends for a non-league test on Tuesday, October 14. New Covenant will play a Badgers squad coming off a 1-1 non-league Stuart Hall (Staunton, VA). The Badgers record now stands at 5-2.
