The Ansonia Chargers topped the host Kennedy Eagles volleyball squad by a final score of 3-1 in Thursday's league game.

The Chargers now have a 3-5 record. They play next when they travel to Derby for a Naugatuck Valley outing on Friday, October 10. Ansonia will play a Red Raiders team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Waterbury Career Academy (Waterbury, CT). The Red Raiders record now stands at 4-8.

With the loss, Kennedy drops to 1-10 on the campaign. The Eagles host St. Paul Catholic (Bristol, CT) to play the Falcons in a Naugatuck Valley outing on Friday, October 10. The Falcons come into the outing with a record of 7-8. St. Paul Catholic won 3-1 in their recent league game against Wilby (Waterbury, CT)
