In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Green Street Academy Chargers volleyball team scored a close 3-2 victory over the Edmondson-Westside Red Storm.

The Chargers (2-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Benjamin Franklin (Baltimore, MD). The Bayhawks come into the Baltimore City Division I challenge with a 5-4 record. In their last challenge, Benjamin Franklin edged Southwestern (Baltimore, MD), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Red Storm meet the Mergenthaler Vo-Tech Mustangs (Baltimore, MD) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, October 14. Edmondson-Westside will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 4-3 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Poly (Baltimore, MD).
