Illinois High School Volleyball - Flanagan-Cornell can't hold off Lexington

October 9, 2025: Flanagan, IL 61740

In Thursday's league match, the Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, IL) volleyball squad tipped the host Flanagan-Cornell Falcons (Flanagan, IL), by a count of 2-1.

The Minutemen now possess a 17-7 record. They play next when they travel to Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond for a non-league bout on Saturday, October 11. Lexington will clash with a Knights team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Sullivan (Sullivan, IL). The Knights record now stands at 18-7.

With the loss, Flanagan-Cornell drops to 16-10 on the campaign. The Falcons host LeRoy (LeRoy, IL) to clash with the Panthers in a Heart of Illinois bout on Tuesday, October 14. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 18-5. LeRoy won 2-0 in their recent league match against Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley (Gibson City, IL)
