In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Glennallen Panthers volleyball team scored a close 1-0 triumph over the King Cove T-Jacks and Rookies.

The Panthers (12-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Ninilchik (Ninilchik, AK). The Wolverines come into the non-league test with a 1-6 record. In their last test, Ninilchik was edged by Cook Inlet Academy (Soldotna, AK), 3-0, in a league test.

The T-Jacks and Rookies now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Nenana for a non-league test on Thursday, October 9. King Cove will face a Lynx squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Effie Kokrine Charter (Fairbanks, AK). The Lynx record now stands at 1-2.
