In Thursday's non-league challenge, the visiting Platte/Geddes Black Panthers volleyball team scored a close 3-2 win over the Gregory Gorillas.

With the win, Platte/Geddes improves its record to 9-12 on the season. The Black Panthers host Miller (Miller, SD) to face the Rustlers in a non-league test on Tuesday, October 14. The Rustlers go into the test with a record of 13-7. Miller lost 3-2 in their recent non-league test against Hitchcock-Tulare (Tulare, SD)

The Gorillas now own a 6-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Colome for a B Region 5 test on Tuesday, October 14. Gregory will face a Cowboys squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Stanley County (Fort Pierre, SD). The Cowboys record now stands at 1-19.
