Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Woodbury Royals (Woodbury, MN) and the host Mounds View Mustangs (Arden Hills, MN), observed Woodbury's volleyball team hold off Mounds View by a count of 3-2.

The Royals (8-14) will now prepare for their contest against Mounds Park Academy (St. Paul, MN). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 1-12 record. In their last contest, Mounds Park Academy was tipped by Liberty Classical Academy (Maplewood, MN), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Mustangs encounter the St. Michael-Albertville Knights (Albertville, MN) in a non-league battle, on Friday, October 10. Mounds View will attempt to improve on its 9-11 season record. The Knights go into the battle with a 10-10 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Rogers (Rogers, MN).
