The Pine River-Backus Tigers prevailed the visiting Northome/Kelliher Mustangs volleyball squad by a final score of 3-1 in Thursday's league game.
Next up, the Tigers confront the Walker-Hackensack-Akeley Wolves (Walker, MN) in a Northwoods game, on Tuesday, October 14. Pine River-Backus will attempt to better on its 17-9 season record. The Wolves come into the bout with a 6-14 record after their 3-1 league loss to Nevis (Nevis, MN).
With the loss, Northome/Kelliher drops to 8-9 on the campaign.
