The Winfield Pirates topped the visiting Phillips Bears volleyball squad by a final score of 2-0 in Thursday's non-league outing.

The Pirates now have a 9-8 record. They play next when they travel to Brilliant for a non-league outing on Saturday, October 11. Winfield will play a Tigers team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Hackleburg (Hackleburg, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 12-5.

With the loss, Phillips drops to 0-15 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Marion County (Guin, AL) to play the Red Raiders in a non-league outing on Thursday, October 16. The Red Raiders come into the outing with a record of 11-16. Marion County lost 2-1 in their recent non-league outing against Hackleburg (Hackleburg, AL)
