The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Newman Greenies (New Orleans, LA) and the host South Plaquemines Hurricanes (Buras, LA), saw Newman's volleyball squad beat South Plaquemines by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Newman upgrades its record to 34-7 on the year. The Greenies travel to Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy (Youngsville, LA) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Friday, November 3. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 10-25. Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy won 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Port Allen (Port Allen, LA)

The Hurricanes now own a 2-18 record.
