North Carolina High School Football - Brevard trounces Polk County

November 1, 2024: Columbus, NC 28722

In Friday's league match, the visiting Brevard Blue Devils football squad scored a decisive 55-0 triumph over the Polk County Wolverines.

The Blue Devils (6-2) will now prepare for their match against R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC). The Hilltoppers come into the 1A/2A Mountain Foothills 7 match with a 4-5 record. In their last match, R-S Central was routed by East Rutherford (Forest City, NC), 57-26, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Wolverines confront the Hendersonville Bearcats (Hendersonville, NC) in a 1A/2A Mountain Foothills 7 match, on Friday, November 8. Polk County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Bearcats go into the bout with a 4-4 record after their 47-21 league win over Chase (Forest City, NC).
