In Friday's non-league match, the visiting East St. John Wildcats football squad scored a close 22-20 triumph over the Carver Collegiate Academy Rams.
The Wildcats (1-8) will now prepare for their match against Bourgeois (Gray, LA). The Braves come into the 5A District 8 match with a 5-4 record. In their last match, Bourgeois tipped Central Lafourche (Raceland, LA), 23-22, in a league match.
Coming up next, the Rams confront the Reed Olympians (New Orleans, LA) in a non-league match, on Friday, November 8. Carver Collegiate Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record.
