The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Central Golden Eagles (Springfield, MA) and the visiting Longmeadow Lancers (Longmeadow, MA), witnessed Central's football squad knock off Longmeadow by a tally of 54-23.

With the win, Central advances its record to 7-1 on the season.

The Lancers now own a 4-4 record. They play next when they host East Longmeadow for a non-league bout on Thursday, November 28. Longmeadow will encounter a Spartans team coming off a 35-20 league win over Wahconah Regional (Dalton, MA). The Spartans record now stands at 5-3.
