The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Sands Mustangs (Ackerly, TX) and the host Dawson Dragons (Welch, TX), witnessed Sands's football squad edge Dawson by a tally of 2-0.

The Mustangs (7-2) will now prepare for their contest against Klondike (Lamesa, TX). The Cougars enter the 1A 6 Man 2 Region I District 4 (6 Man) contest with a 5-4 record. In their last contest, Klondike got by Southland (Southland, TX), 72-0, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Dragons battle the Loop Longhorns (Loop, TX) in a 1A 6 Man 2 Region I District 4 (6 Man) contest, on Friday, November 8. Dawson will attempt to better on its 1-6 season record. The Longhorns enter the contest with a 6-3 record after their 69-24 league win over Wilson (Wilson, TX).
