In Friday's league match, the host William Monroe Dragons football squad scored a close 14-7 triumph over the Harrisonburg Blue Streaks.
The Dragons (2-7) will now prepare for their match against Rockbridge County (Lexington, VA). The Wildcats come into the Valley match with a 1-8 record. In their last match, Rockbridge County was nudged by Turner Ashby (Bridgewater, VA), 56-13, in a league match.
