The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Westfield Bombers (Westfield, MA) and the host Holyoke Purple Knights (Holyoke, MA), witnessed Westfield's football squad knock off Holyoke by a tally of 52-21.

The Bombers (3-5) will now prepare for their contest against East Longmeadow (East Longmeadow, MA). The Spartans enter the non-league contest with a 5-3 record. In their last outing, East Longmeadow topped Wahconah Regional (Dalton, MA), 35-20, in a league outing.

With the defeat, Holyoke drops to 2-6 on the campaign. The Purple knights host Putnam Vo-Tech (Springfield, MA) to clash with the Beavers in a non-league outing on Thursday, November 7. The Beavers come into the outing with a record of 6-1. Putnam Vo-Tech won 42-19 in their recent league outing against South Hadley (South Hadley, MA)
