Arizona High School Football - La Joya Community overwhelmed by Independence

November 1, 2024: Avondale, AZ 85323

In Friday's league game, the Independence Patriots (Glendale, AZ) football team triumphed over the host La Joya Community Fighting Lobos (Avondale, AZ), by a tally of 47-0.

In their next game, the Patriots battle the Gila Ridge Hawks (Yuma, AZ) in a 4A Southwest game, on Friday, November 8. Independence will attempt to better on its 6-3 season record. The Hawks enter the game with a 4-5 record after their 40-21 non-league loss to Poston Butte (San Tan Valley, AZ).

The Fighting Lobos (1-8) will now prepare for their game against Seton Catholic (Chandler, AZ). The Sentinels enter the 4A Southwest game with a 7-2 record. In their last game, Seton Catholic overwhelmed Sierra Linda (Phoenix, AZ), 27-14, in a league game.
