The Vernon Lions walloped the host Iowa Park Hawks football team by a score of 55-13 in Friday's league challenge.
In their next game, the Lions face the Peaster Greyhounds (Peaster, TX) in a 3A-1 Region I District 4 challenge, on Friday, November 8. Vernon will attempt to improve on its 7-2 season record. The Greyhounds go into the challenge with a 7-2 record after their 45-8 league win over Boyd (Boyd, TX).
The Hawks (3-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Bowie (Bowie, TX). The Jackrabbits go into the 3A-1 Region I District 4 challenge with a 4-5 record. In their last challenge, Bowie was ripped by Vernon (Vernon, TX), 51-26, in a league challenge.
