Velma-Alma Comets (Velma, OK) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Wilson Eagles (Wilson, OK), 46-12 in a league battle.

With the win, Velma-Alma improves its record to 7-2 on the season. The Comets host Elmore City-Pernell (Elmore City, OK) to play the Badgers in a non-league battle on Friday, November 8. The Badgers go into the battle with a record of 1-8. Elmore City-Pernell lost 54-24 in their recent league battle against Healdton (Healdton, OK)

The Eagles now have a 4-5 record. They play next when they travel to Healdton for a A-II District 2 battle on Friday, November 8. Wilson will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 54-24 league win over Elmore City-Pernell (Elmore City, OK). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-6.
