The Highland Cougars edged the host Linn Wildcats softball squad by a count of 2-1 in Friday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Cougars meet the Mid-Buchanan Dragons (Faucett, MO) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, November 2. Highland will attempt to upgrade on its 28-5 season record. The Dragons enter the challenge with a 37-5 record after their 8-6 non-league win over Chaffee (Chaffee, MO).
The Wildcats (26-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Chaffee (Chaffee, MO). The Red Devils enter the non-league challenge with a 25-7 record. In their last challenge, Chaffee edged Elsberry (Elsberry, MO), 3-2, in a non-league challenge.
