Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the Axtell Longhorns (Axtell, TX) and the host Cayuga Wildcats (Cayuga, TX), observed Axtell's volleyball team hold off Cayuga by a count of 3-2.

The Longhorns (22-12) will now prepare for their contest against Itasca (Itasca, TX). The Wampus Cats enter the non-league contest with a 10-19 record. In their last contest, Itasca got by Meridian (Meridian, TX), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Wildcats battle the Iola Bulldogs (Iola, TX) in a non-league contest, on Monday, November 4. Cayuga will attempt to move on its 3-20 season record. The Bulldogs enter the contest with a 40-6 record after their 3-0 league win over Leon (Jewett, TX).
