The Bastrop Bears walloped the visiting Pflugerville Panthers football team by a score of 70-6 in Saturday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Bears face the Liberty Hill Panthers (Liberty Hill, TX) in a 5A-2 Region III District 11 challenge, on Friday, November 7. Bastrop will attempt to improve on its 9-0 season record. The Panthers come into the test with a 7-2 record after their 63-6 league win over Crockett (Austin, TX).

With the defeat, Pflugerville drops to 6-3 on the campaign. The Panthers host Pflugerville Connally (Austin, TX) to face the Cougars in a 5A-2 Region III District 11 game on Friday, November 7. The Cougars enter the game with a record of 5-4. Pflugerville Connally won 49-7 in their recent league game against Elgin (Elgin, TX)
