The Northridge Academy Pumas (Northridge, CA) basketball knocked off the host Chavez Eagles (San Fernando, CA), 48-37 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Pumas (1-0) will now prepare for their test against North Valley Military Institute (Sun Valley, CA). The Hawks go into the non-league test with a 0-0 record.
The Eagles now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Panorama for a non-league test on Wednesday, November 16.
Game Summary
The Eagles started slow falling behind by 20 midway through the second quarter, however they would rally in the second half to get within in five 40-35 with six minutes to play. The Eagles kept fighting and were within 6 at 42-36 with a minute to play, but a three-point play with 30 seconds remaining iced the game for Northridge Academy and the Pumas held on for a 48-37 victory.
