The Irvin Rockets basketball team scored 61 points and held the visiting Tornillo Coyotes to 29 in the Rockets non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Rockets now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Canutillo for a non-league contest on Friday, November 11. Irvin will meet a Eagles team coming off a 58-4 non-league win over Bowie (El Paso, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 1-2.
The Coyotes (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Bowie (El Paso, TX). The Bears enter the non-league contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Bowie was routed by Canutillo (Canutillo, TX), 58-4, in a non-league contest.
