Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Montgomery Bears (Montgomery, TX) and the host Cleveland Indians (Cleveland, TX), saw Montgomery's basketball squad nip Cleveland by a margin of 45-39.

The Bears (1-0) will now prepare for their test against Tomball Memorial (Tomball, TX). The Wildcats go into the non-league test with a 1-1 record. In their last test, Tomball Memorial was tipped by Cypress Ranch (Houston, TX), 73-64, in a non-league test.
